Senior Site Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for leading site execution activities, supervising engineering teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical expertise, site management capabilities, and effective coordination with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
Lead and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labour teams.
Ensure work execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Monitor project progress, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to management.
Review construction plans and resolve technical and site-related issues.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, architects, clients, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
Verify quantities, measurements, and contractor bills.
Manage material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with project standards.
Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control initiatives.
Ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
5 to 10 years of relevant site execution and project coordination experience.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering standards, and site management practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and project specifications.
Knowledge of construction quality standards, contract administration, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
