Production Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant with 1-3 years of experience to support daily manufacturing and production operations. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, monitoring production schedules, and coordinating with various departments to achieve operational targets efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day production activities to ensure timely completion of production plans.
Monitor production processes and report operational issues to supervisors.
Support machine operators and production teams in achieving productivity targets.
Maintain production records, logs, and daily reports accurately.
Coordinate material availability with stores, procurement, and production departments.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and production procedures.
Assist in monitoring equipment performance and reporting maintenance requirements.
Support inventory tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
Follow workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean production environment.
Participate in production planning, process improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
Assist in conducting production audits and compliance checks.
Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve production-related issues.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production operations, assembly, or industrial environments.
Basic understanding of production processes, quality standards, and shop floor operations.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, FMCG, electronics, or process industries.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
Familiarity with production planning and inventory management.
Understanding of workplace safety and quality management systems.
Ability to analyze production data and prepare operational reports.
