Job Summary
The Junior Site Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and engineering projects on-site. The role involves monitoring project activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, assisting senior engineers, and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in supervising daily site operations and construction activities.
Monitor project progress and report updates to senior engineers and project managers.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, and project schedules.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
Conduct site inspections and identify potential issues or risks.
Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Assist in material planning, quality checks, and inventory monitoring.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
0 to 3 years of relevant site engineering or construction experience.
Basic understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and site operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering software.
Knowledge of project management tools and reporting systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites if required.
