Job Summary
The Restaurant Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. The role requires professionalism, good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and escort them to their tables.
Present menus and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing requests and resolving concerns courteously.
Check on customers during meals and provide additional assistance as needed.
Prepare and arrange tables before service and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
Process bills and handle cash, card, or digital payments accurately.
Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
Support restaurant operations during busy periods and special events.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / Higher Secondary / Graduate preferred.
0-3 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, cafés, or hospitality services.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Basic understanding of food service procedures and restaurant etiquette.
Preferred Skills
Experience in fine dining, casual dining, QSR, or hotel restaurants.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Ability to handle customer complaints professionally.
Basic POS billing system knowledge.
Teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of English, Hindi, and local language preferred.
