Incoming Material Inspection:
Perform physical and dimensional inspections of raw materials, castings, forgings, or electronic components upon arrival.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and standard inspection plans to verify parts accuracy.
Gauge & Instrument Handling:
Expertly operate standard precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, and Thread Gauges.
Ensure all inspection tools and instruments used are properly calibrated and maintained.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed Incoming Inspection Reports (IIR) and update material status (Approved/Rejected/Hold) in the ERP or Excel tracking system.
Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) clearances for accepted batches.
Rejection Management & Vendor Coordination:
Identify deviations, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective materials, and isolate rejected stock in the designated red-bin/rejection area.
Provide feedback and data to the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team to help resolve recurring vendor issues.
Process Compliance:
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or company-specific quality management systems.
Practice 5S in the inspection area and follow proper material handling guidelines.
