Jr. Civil Engineer BE (Civil)

Preparing construction schedules and estimating costs of projects using engineering software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation

Coordinating with supervisors and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time

Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, dams, and buildings

Inspecting construction sites to ensure that work is being done according to plans and specifications

Monitoring construction projects to ensure that they are proceeding according to schedule and within budget parameters

Conducting feasibility studies and creating designs for new projects using computer modeling software

Reviewing proposals from architects or contractors for compliance with federal, state, and local building codes
