Material Quality Inspector

Incoming Material Quality Inspector
Responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts to ensure they meet approved specifications, drawings, quality standards, and purchase requirements before being released for production.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, parts, and purchased materials as per inspection plans and specifications.
Verify material quantity, dimensions, specifications, grade, and visual quality against purchase orders and supplier documents.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Perform dimensional and visual inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Verify Material Test Certificates (MTC), inspection reports, and other supplier quality documents.
Identify, document, and segregate defective or non-conforming incoming materials.
Prepare Incoming Inspection Reports, Rejection Reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, and suppliers regarding quality issues.
Support supplier corrective action and follow up on rejection/quality complaints.
Maintain records of incoming material inspection and supplier quality performance.
Ensure proper identification, traceability, and status marking of inspected materials.
Support Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, 5 Why, and other quality improvement activities.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, SOPs, and ISO/QMS requirements.
Participate in supplier audits and quality improvement activities when required.
