Machine Maintenance Engineer – VMC/CNC
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Machine Maintenance Engineer – VMC/CNC with 1-2 years of experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of VMC/CNC machines to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of VMC and CNC machines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
Attend machine breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize production interruptions.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on machines and equipment.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and equipment history documents.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation activities.
Ensure proper lubrication, calibration, and upkeep of machinery.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and spare parts procurement.
Follow safety procedures and maintenance best practices at all times.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine maintenance.
Strong knowledge of machine components, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC basics.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial machinery.
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar CNC control systems.
Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
Familiarity with servo drives, spindle systems, sensors, and machine automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
