Head of Production & Supply

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Production & Supply to lead manufacturing operations, production planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain functions. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, on-time delivery, optimum resource utilisation, cost control, quality compliance, and continuous improvement across the value chain.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, operational excellence expertise, and the ability to align production and supply chain activities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Lead end-to-end manufacturing and production operations.
Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and business targets.
Monitor production schedules, capacity utilisation, and operational efficiency.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Drive productivity improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
Oversee preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programmes.
Supply Chain & Procurement
Manage procurement, vendor development, and supplier performance.
Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, components, and consumables.
Develop sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements with vendors.
Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory optimisation practices.
Planning & Logistics
Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand forecasting activities.
Ensure timely dispatch, transportation, and delivery of finished goods.
Monitor warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with sales, project, and customer service teams to fulfil customer requirements.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Build, mentor, and develop production and supply chain teams.
Establish KPIs and performance improvement plans.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives.
Drive digitalisation and automation projects within operations.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred.
12-18 years of experience in production, manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, and logistics.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a managerial or departmental head role.
Proven track record of improving productivity, cost efficiency, and supply chain performance.
