Accountant
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and file GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns as applicable.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Coordinate with banks, vendors, auditors, and government authorities when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, SAP, ERP systems, or similar.
Understanding of taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
CA Inter, CMA, M.Com, or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial organisations.
Familiarity with budgeting, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
Knowledge of ERP systems and financial analysis tools.
