Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, confident, and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide students and parents regarding courses, career options, admissions, eligibility, fees, and academic opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students, generating admissions, and maintaining strong relationships with students and parents.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, eligibility, fees, and career opportunities.
Understand students’ academic interests, career goals, and requirements.
Recommend suitable courses or programs based on student profiles.
Handle enquiries through phone calls, walk-ins, email, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
Generate and follow up on leads to achieve admission targets.
Conduct counselling sessions and course presentations.
Explain course structure, curriculum, duration, admission process, and career prospects.
Schedule and coordinate campus visits, counselling sessions, seminars, and admission activities.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and parents.
Assist students with application forms, documentation, fee details, and admission procedures.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, leads, counselling sessions, applications, and admissions.
Coordinate with academic, admission, finance, and administrative teams.
Conduct student outreach activities through schools, colleges, seminars, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly counselling and admission reports.
Address student and parent queries professionally and escalate complex issues when required.
Stay updated on courses, admission policies, industry trends, and career opportunities.
Achieve assigned counselling, lead-conversion, and admission targets.
Key Skills & Technical Requirements
Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong counselling
presentation
and convincing abilities. Good interpersonal and relationship-management skills. Ability to understand student needs and provide appropriate guidance. Strong lead follow-up and conversion skills. Good knowledge of MS Office
CRM
and digital communication tools. Confident telephone and face-to-face communication. Target-oriented and self-motivated approach. Good listening and problem-solving skills. Professional and empathetic attitude.
