Job Summary
The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, utilization, and safety of company equipment and machinery. This role ensures equipment availability, optimal performance, compliance with safety standards, and efficient coordination of maintenance activities to support operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the operation and utilization of equipment and machinery.
Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and company policies.
Maintain equipment records, maintenance logs, and utilization reports.
Coordinate with maintenance teams, operators, and vendors for equipment servicing.
Investigate equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend procurement when required.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure proper equipment handling practices.
Train equipment operators on safe and efficient equipment usage.
Support equipment commissioning, installation, and decommissioning activities.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in equipment supervision, maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with safety regulations and equipment management systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, specifications, and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Experience with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or construction equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership and team management skills.
Vendor and contractor coordination experience.
