Job Title: Pre-Primary Teacher
Job Summary
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating young children in a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment. The role focuses on developing children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor skills through age-appropriate teaching methods, activities, and play-based learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging classroom activities aligned with the curriculum.
Teach foundational concepts including language, numeracy, colors, shapes, and general awareness.
Foster children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Create a positive, safe, and child-friendly classroom environment.
Use creative teaching techniques such as storytelling, rhymes, games, music, and art activities.
Monitor and evaluate children’s learning progress and developmental milestones.
Maintain student records, attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
Organize school events, celebrations, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Encourage good habits, discipline, hygiene, and positive behavior among students.
Manage classroom resources and learning materials effectively.
Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and child protection practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Diploma/Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECCEd), Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori Training, D.El.Ed, or equivalent.
1-5 years of experience in Pre-Primary, Nursery, Kindergarten, or Montessori teaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and working with young children.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Montessori, Playway, EYFS, or other early childhood teaching methodologies.
Strong classroom management skills.
Creativity in lesson planning and activity-based learning.
Ability to engage children through interactive teaching methods.
Good observation and child assessment skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with online teaching tools.
