Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Stores Manager to oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, material planning, and store administration. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient storage, accurate stock records, timely material availability, and adherence to safety and inventory control procedures while supporting operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, receipts, issues, returns, and stock movements.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials and goods.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
Oversee goods receipt, inspection, and dispatch activities.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies and losses.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and inventory audits.
Coordinate with production, purchase, logistics, and quality departments for smooth material flow.
Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and warehouse management standards.
Manage store personnel and allocate responsibilities effectively.
Generate inventory reports, MIS, and stock analysis for management review.
Support ERP-based inventory transactions and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or other inventory management software).
Good understanding of material handling and stock control procedures.
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, FMCG, retail, or distribution industries.
Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, ABC Analysis, and inventory optimization techniques.
Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
Strong communication and team management abilities.
Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills.
