CNC Press Brake Operator
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator with 1-2 years of experience in sheet metal bending and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machines, interpreting engineering drawings, and producing high-quality components while ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machines for sheet metal bending operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine parameters based on job requirements.
Perform machine setup, tool alignment, and program adjustments.
Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
Monitor machine performance and perform basic troubleshooting when required.
Maintain production records and quality documentation.
Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient machine utilization.
Follow workplace safety standards and manufacturing procedures.
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience operating CNC Press Brake machines.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and bending processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Protractors, Height Gauges, and Micrometers.
Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine settings.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CNC controllers such as Delem, Cybelec, ESA, or similar systems.
Knowledge of bend allowance, bend deductions, and sheet metal development calculations.
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices.
