Job Title: Senior Industrial Electronics & Drive Repair Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Electronics & Drive Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, test, and maintain industrial electronic equipment and motor drive systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in industrial automation, VFDs, servo drives, PLCs, power electronics, and troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems used in manufacturing and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electronic equipment and control systems.
Repair and test Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo Drives, Soft Starters, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial power supplies.
Perform component-level troubleshooting of electronic circuit boards.
Conduct functional testing and quality checks after repairs.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare repair reports, service documentation, and technical records.
Support installation, commissioning, and calibration activities when required.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of power electronics, industrial automation, and motor control systems.
Ability to interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
Hands-on experience with diagnostic and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and insulation testers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience repairing drives from manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Danfoss, Mitsubishi, Delta, or Lenze.
Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial communication protocols.
Understanding of servo systems, CNC controls, and automation systems.
Familiarity with ISO quality standards and maintenance procedures.
Good communication and technical reporting skills.
Experience
5 to 10+ years of experience in industrial electronics repair, drive repair, maintenance, or automation systems.
Proven experience in component-level troubleshooting and industrial equipment servicing.
