Job Title: In-Process Quality Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented In-Process Quality Engineer to monitor and control product quality during manufacturing processes. The candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying process deviations, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring products meet defined quality standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor quality at different stages of the production process.
Conduct in-process inspections as per control plans, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Inspect dimensions, appearance, functionality, and other quality parameters.
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and gauges as applicable.
Identify process defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
Segregate and control rejected or non-conforming materials/products.
Prepare inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality records.
Perform root-cause analysis for recurring quality problems.
Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to approved standards.
Conduct first-piece, last-piece, and patrol inspections as required.
Ensure proper implementation of Control Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
Support 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, Kaizen, and other problem-solving activities.
Maintain calibration status and proper usage of measuring instruments.
Support internal, customer, and process audits.
Monitor quality trends and prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports.
Train production operators on quality standards and defect prevention.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and safety requirements.
Key Skills & Technical Requirements
Required Skills Strong knowledge of in-process inspection and quality control. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges. Understanding of 7 QC tools. Knowledge of root-cause analysis and CAPA. Knowledge of Control Plan
PFMEA
MSA
SPC
and PPAP is an advantage. Good knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and coordination skills. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
