Fabrication Supervisor
Job Summary
The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fabrication operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. This role supervises fabrication personnel, coordinates workflow, monitors equipment utilization, and ensures fabrication activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with engineering specifications and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate fabrication activities including cutting, welding, fitting, grinding, and assembly operations.
Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules.
Ensure all fabrication work complies with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor productivity and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
Conduct regular inspections of fabricated components and finished products.
Enforce compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate fabrication team members.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
Maintain fabrication records, production reports, and shift documentation.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of fabrication tools and equipment.
Investigate and address quality issues, delays, and production bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in fabrication operations, including supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, metal cutting, and assembly methods.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting systems.
