Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain computer systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide desktop and technical support to users through onsite and remote assistance.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
Install and configure Windows operating systems, applications, drivers, and security updates.
Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and basic network connectivity issues.
Configure and support email accounts, antivirus, and standard business applications.
Maintain IT assets, inventory, and user records.
Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups as required.
Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT team or vendor.
Maintain helpdesk tickets and document troubleshooting activities.
Ensure IT systems follow company security and access-control policies.
Support new employee system setup, configuration, and onboarding.
Key Skills & Technical Requirements
Required Skills - Good knowledge of Windows OS and desktop troubleshooting. Knowledge of computer hardware
peripherals
and networking fundamentals. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP
LAN
Wi-Fi
DNS
and DHCP. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and common business applications. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and user-support skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple support requests. Knowledge of Active Directory
Office 365/Microsoft 365
or IT ticketing systems is preferred.
