Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting functions by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The role assists in day-to-day accounting activities while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain accounting transactions in accounting software/ERP systems.
Prepare and process invoices, purchase entries, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
Maintain accurate records of financial documents and supporting files.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory data as required.
Support payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliation.
Generate MIS reports and financial summaries for management.
Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and internal departments when required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or SAP.
Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
