PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control)
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical PPC Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production operations by coordinating with various departments, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring timely delivery of products as per customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare production plans and schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity.
Monitor daily production activities and track progress against planned schedules.
Coordinate with production, procurement, stores, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and resources required for production.
Analyze production data and identify bottlenecks affecting productivity.
Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control activities.
Track work orders, machine utilization, and material consumption.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and MIS.
Ensure adherence to production deadlines and customer delivery commitments.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for optimizing production processes and reducing wastage.
Assist in capacity planning and production forecasting activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC), Manufacturing Planning, or Production Coordination.
Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
Ability to interpret production data and generate reports.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials), Routing, and Capacity Planning.
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production performance metrics.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
