Electrical Wireman (Control Panel Experience)
Job Summary
The Electrical Wireman is responsible for wiring, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires hands-on experience in control panel wiring, electrical component installation, cable dressing, and ensuring safe and efficient panel operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform wiring and assembly of electrical control panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, PLC panels, and automation panels.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
Install and connect electrical components such as relays, contactors, MCBs, VFDs, PLCs, SMPS, terminal blocks, and switches.
Carry out cable routing, cable glanding, ferruling, and cable dressing activities.
Test electrical circuits and control panels for proper functionality and safety compliance.
Identify and troubleshoot wiring faults and electrical issues.
Ensure all panel wiring work is completed as per project specifications and timelines.
Maintain workplace safety standards while handling electrical equipment and tools.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams during panel manufacturing and testing.
Maintain records of completed work, materials used, and testing results.
Required Qualifications
ITI Electrician / Wireman Certification or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
2 to 5 years of experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly.
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.
Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams and panel layouts.
Familiarity with electrical tools, testing instruments, and wiring equipment.
Understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
Preferred Skills
Experience with PLC, VFD, MCC, PCC, APFC, and automation control panels.
Knowledge of industrial automation systems.
Ability to independently execute wiring and panel assembly activities.
Experience in panel testing and commissioning support.
Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Ability to work under deadlines and maintain quality standards.
