Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial operations. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and audits.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Support internal and external audit activities.
Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning.
Prepare tax returns and statutory filings as required.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
2+ years of accounting experience (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Preferred Skills
Professional certification such as CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, etc.).
Knowledge of taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
