Job Title: Steel Fixer
Job Summary:
We are looking for skilled and hardworking Steel Fixers to cut, bend, position, and secure steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh used in concrete structures. The candidate will work on construction projects such as residential buildings, commercial complexes, bridges, and infrastructure projects while ensuring quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and reinforcement details.
Cut, bend, and shape steel bars as per specifications.
Fix and tie reinforcing steel bars and mesh in concrete forms.
Position steel reinforcement accurately before concrete pouring.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure reinforcement work complies with project requirements and quality standards.
Inspect materials and report any defects or shortages.
Follow site safety regulations and company policies.
Assist supervisors in completing work within project timelines.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8th Pass / 10th Pass preferred.
ITI or vocational training in construction trades is an advantage.
Experience in steel fixing, rebar work, or construction projects preferred.
Ability to read basic construction drawings.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual work.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of reinforcement bar bending schedules (BBS).
Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Awareness of workplace safety practices.
