Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Microbiology Executive to support microbiological testing, quality assurance, and laboratory operations. The candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological analysis, maintaining laboratory compliance, monitoring environmental conditions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
Conduct microbial limit tests, sterility tests, pathogen testing, and culture analysis as per SOPs.
Monitor environmental conditions in manufacturing and laboratory areas.
Prepare culture media, reagents, and microbial cultures as required.
Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and documentation.
Review and record test results accurately and prepare analytical reports.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards.
Participate in internal audits, validations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain cleanliness within the microbiology lab.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Strong understanding of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory practices.
Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and quality management systems.
Proficiency in laboratory documentation and data recording.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Pharmaceutical, Food, Beverage, FMCG, Healthcare, or Biotechnology industries.
Knowledge of environmental monitoring and cleanroom practices.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, WHO, ISO, and Schedule M guidelines.
Experience handling laboratory instruments and microbial identification methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
