Job Summary
The Production Head is responsible for leading and managing overall manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, and delivery schedules are achieved. The role involves strategic planning, resource optimisation, process improvement, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee end-to-end production operations across manufacturing units.
Develop and implement production strategies to achieve business objectives.
Prepare and execute production plans in alignment with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
Monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Ensure optimal utilisation of manpower, machinery, materials, and resources.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, Stores, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Review production KPIs and prepare MIS reports for management.
Lead workforce development, training, performance management, and succession planning.
Resolve critical production, manpower, and process-related challenges.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
