Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role involves supervising production teams, coordinating workflow, monitoring machine utilisation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities on the shop floor.
Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently to meet output targets.
Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
Allocate manpower, machines, and resources effectively to maximise productivity.
Maintain adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities when required.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
Train, guide, and evaluate production operators and team members.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Ensure proper utilization of raw materials and minimize wastage.
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments to achieve operational goals.
Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2-6 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
Experience in supervising production teams and shop-floor activities.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
