Sales & Estimation Engineer – Control Panel

Job Summary
We are seeking a technically competent and customer-focused Sales & Estimation Engineer to support business development and estimation activities for Electrical Control Panels and Automation Solutions. The candidate will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, preparing techno-commercial proposals, estimating project costs, coordinating with design and procurement teams, and converting opportunities into sales orders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Activities
Generate and manage enquiries for LT Panels, PCC, MCC, PLC, VFD, APFC, Synchronisation Panels, and Automation Systems.
Meet customers, consultants, OEMs, contractors, and industrial clients to understand project requirements.
Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
Conduct technical discussions and product presentations with customers.
Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms to secure orders.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business.
Estimation Activities
Review customer specifications, BOQs, SLDs, GA drawings, and tender documents.
Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project requirements.
Calculate material requirements, component selection, and costing.
Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for vendor quotations.
Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and costing sheets.
Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility of enquiries.
Support tender preparation and bid submissions.
Maintain pricing databases and estimation records.
Coordination
Work closely with design, engineering, production, and procurement teams.
Ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to project execution teams.
Monitor project requirements and support technical clarifications during execution.
Assist in payment follow-up and customer support activities.
Required Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
2-8 years of experience in control panel sales, estimation, switchgear, electrical projects, or industrial automation.
Knowledge of LT Panels, PCC, MCC, PLC, VFD, APFC, and Power Distribution Systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, and technical specifications.
Experience in preparing techno-commercial offers and costing sheets.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/CRM systems.
