Site Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensure project execution according to design specifications, and maintain quality, safety, and project schedules. The ideal candidate will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth site operations and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Supervision
Supervise daily construction activities at project sites.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor labour productivity, material usage, and equipment utilisation.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, and consultants.
Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues requiring corrective action.
Verify site measurements and quantities for billing and project tracking.
Project Management
Monitor project progress against schedules and milestones.
Assist in planning, resource allocation, and execution of construction activities.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Ensure timely procurement and availability of construction materials.
Maintain project documentation, records, and reports.
Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Conduct quality checks and inspections at various stages of construction.
Coordinate testing of materials and construction work.
Implement corrective measures to address quality concerns.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce site safety regulations and company safety policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
Report accidents, incidents, and near-miss events promptly.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
1-5 years of experience in construction site supervision and project execution.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
Familiarity with safety regulations and construction compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering software.
Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of estimation, quantity surveying, and billing processes.
Knowledge of project management tools.
