The Computer Operator Cum Technician will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of our computer systems and networks. This dual role requires a blend of operational expertise to ensure smooth data processing and technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and be committed to maintaining a functional and efficient IT environment.
Responsibilities
System Operation & Monitoring:
Perform daily system checks, ensuring all computers, peripherals, and network devices are functioning optimally.
Execute scheduled tasks, such as data backups, system updates, and report generation.
Monitor system performance, identifying and reporting any anomalies or potential issues promptly.
Ensure data integrity and security protocols are followed during all operations.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide first-level technical support to users for hardware and software issues (e.g., printer problems, basic network connectivity, software errors).
Diagnose and resolve common computer hardware problems (e.g., replacing components, cleaning, basic repairs).
Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows, basic Linux knowledge preferred) and software applications.
Perform routine maintenance on computers, including cleaning, defragmentation, and virus scans.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel or external vendors when necessary.
