The Dispensing Optician’s primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Prescription Interpretation and Dispensing:
Interpreting written optical prescriptions and offering guidance on the best lens type, material, tint, and coatings (e.g., anti-reflective, scratch-resistant) suitable for the client’s needs.
Taking precise facial and ocular measurements (e.g., pupillary distance, segment height) necessary for the accurate grinding and fitting of lenses.
Frame Selection and Fitting:
Assisting clients in selecting appropriate frames based on their facial structure, prescription requirements, budget, and fashion preferences.
Adjusting and repairing frames to ensure a perfect, comfortable, and safe fit for the wearer.
Educating clients on the proper care and maintenance of their glasses and contact lenses.
Inventory and Lab Management:

Performing quality checks on finished spectacles to verify lens power, axis, and other parameters match the prescription and order specifications.
Operating and maintaining optical lab equipment used for minor adjustments and repairs.
Customer Service and Administration:
