1. Quality Control & Inspection
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of components using precision measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, and profile projectors).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols to verify product compliance.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and approve set-ups for production runs.
2. Quality Assurance & Process Control
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and inspection check sheets.
Monitor production processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to identify trends and prevent defects.
Manage the calibration schedule for all plant instruments and gauges to ensure measurement accuracy.
3. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Lead investigations into internal non-conformances and customer complaints using root-cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagram).
Define and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) reviews to mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.
4. Supplier & Audit Management
Evaluate supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and handle Material Rejection Reports (MRR) for incoming parts.
Ensure compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 depending on the industry).
Assist in internal and external quality audits.
